POLL: 79% Believe Jesus is Savior, 26% Beleive Obama Born in U.S.A.

Separate polls show America's Christian faith is strong, but Barack Obama has serious credibility problems – at least among Iowa Republicans. A Rasmussen survey conducted April 21-22 among 1,000 U.S. adults reveals 74 percent believe Jesus is the Son of God who came to Earth to die for sins. Only 13 percent do not share that belief, according to the poll.

Meanwhile, a Public Policy Poll conducted April 15-17 among 419 Iowa Republicans only 26 percent believe Obama was born in the U.S., with another 26 percent unsure. Overall 48 percent said they doubted his birth story.

Hmmm. WorldNetDaily?? Rasmussen?? Give us all a break.

How about a Gallup headline instead?
"More Americans choose "no religion""

It wasn't so long ago that only 4% would have selected that... That's 50 million fewer religious people and they're mostly young.

And that birther nonsense... Yea. Keep it up GOP. I expect that there will be a really nice backlash. I can imagine the ads now. But what you'll see is that more and more of the GOP leaders will back off as elections draw near.

And did you see the Donald Trump born in America poll? People responding to these polls are having a bit of fun at the expense of pollsters.

You want Gallup? Ok. How about 82% Christian, 13% no religion?

Here is 78%:

So I agree, the number of people who identify as Christians is in decline, but it is still 3 to 1 over atheists. So we still have a long way to go until the end of the world.

Personal observation over 58 years tells me we should be more interested in a poll that asks people about their beliefs and follows up with questions in other areas that indicate the extent to which they practice those beliefs. Our Koran burning friend in FL is just the tip of the iceberg!

I find this amusing. Just because believing in God somehow seems to be demonized these days, as some cute little fairy tale myth, by the minority. Stand up.

Silly conservative. You are not demonized for believing in fairies and angels and whatever else you believe in.

You are demonized for trying to enact terrible policies based on those beliefs.
