Great. Just Great. That only took what, a month or so? And how long is this things supposed to gush before BP has a viable solution of how to stop it? Several more months? So I guess we can rest assured the oil will eventually reach the east coast beaches? This sickens me. But on the plus side, I guess that means everyone will be rushing to Ocean City when FL, GA, SC, & NC beaches are closed. It could be a real boon, though not exactly how anyone would want it to happen.They are now saying too that the oil slick itself has reached the "loop current" is forecasted to reach Miami by Memorial Day weekend.
Some 5 million gallons of crude has spewed into the Gulf and tar balls have been washing ashore in several states along the coast.
Scientists are worried that oil is getting caught in a major ocean current that could carry it through the Florida Keys and up the East Coast.

But I am glad you got your daily exercise jumping to conclusions. Didn't you know that thousands of gallons of oil seep into the Gulf naturally every year?
Link or are we just suppose to take you at your word? Maybe there is some other environtmental catastrophe that you can show us or maybe it is the one unfolding in the gulf right now? Stick to politics Mike.
This is regarding the Pacific Ocean but should be similar in the Gulf since oil is underneath there too.

Since the Gulf spill has become a political football with blame being tossed around and obvious impact on future energy policies, I'd say I AM sticking to politics.

Get real Michael. It is a huge relief these tar balls are NOT from this recent spill. Let's hope the oil DOES NOT reach the Fl Keys and the East Coast, that would obviously be terrible. But thanks for trying to cast us in the worst possible light for no reason.
You're welcome, but there was a reason - had the tar balls been from DH we wouldn't have heard the end of the panic. Just remember, being in favor of more oil exploration doesn't equal being in favor of more spills.
