Drones In The U.S.? Don't Laugh, It's Going To Happen

What the heck is this? You thought Big Brother was bad? He's about to get a whole lot worse. Is this an invasion of privacy? Is this legal? I know it isn't fair. Or is this just the "price" we pay to live in a "free" country? This is bullshit and a waste of my taxpayer dollars.

The FAA Reauthorization Act, which President Obama is expected to sign, also orders the Federal Aviation Administration to develop regulations for the testing and licensing of commercial drones by 2015.

Privacy advocates say the measure will lead to widespread use of drones for electronic surveillance by police agencies across the country and eventually by private companies as well.

“There are serious policy questions on the horizon about privacy and surveillance, by both government agencies and commercial entities,” said Steven Aftergood, who heads the Project on Government Secrecy at the Federation of American Scientists.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation also is “concerned about the implications for surveillance by government agencies,” said attorney Jennifer Lynch.

The provision in the legislation is the fruit of “a huge push by lawmakers and the defense sector to expand the use of drones” in American airspace, she added.

The agency projects that 30,000 drones could be in the nation’s skies by 2020.

Rubio to the Rescue

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has introduced a bill that would allow all religious employers an exemption to a requirement that health care coverage include contraceptive services and abortions.

Well thank goodness. That didn't take long. Hopefully it passes, but for others who don't have the courage to take a stand, well, Barack has just unfairly forced his way upon this country.

Google Privacy Policy...Are You Serious?

Is it just me or does anyone else think the reworking of Google's "privacy" policy is just a load of garbage? First of all, have you tried to actually read it as I have? You can't find word one where they actually TELL you what the new policy is. They tell you how great it will be but they don't tell you how bad it will be also. As if Google didn't already know everything about your online habits, it's just that now they are telling everyone that they are going to share that information with whom every they choose. Unless you go to a library or some other public computer terminal, there is virtually no chance anyone will have anonymity online ever again. Thank you Big Brother.
