Israel vs. Iran: How Worried Are You?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how likely do you think it is that Israel and Iran will go to war in the next 5 years?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how worried are you about the consequences and implications of such a war for life in the United States?

If a war does occur, who do you think will start it. Who do you see as the more likely aggressor?

1. Not a war, just a few random attacks. But likely 8/10

2. Not really our problem 2/10

3. Israel more likely aggressor (just like last time, and the time before that)

In the spirit of Spinal Tap, just score me '11' on the smack being laid down, and pronto {I am already conducting a fictional air campaign against Syria}.

For the record, let the Israelis have them-they have been emasculated far too long in their own 'hood while they get rockets fired at them almost daily. And let the Turks shat or get off the pot if they want to be the 'reasonable neutral neighbor' before { } it hits the fan.

BTW-Good to see you publishing again. Hope you are doing well.

Far more black people are being killed. Far more. And many more are dying from the blade than are dying from bullets. 3rd world wars are rather ugly...
It's difficult to stop. It's difficult to even care.

@c "Some of the Iran chicks are off the damn chart."

Here's one for you "Poem for the Rooftops of Iran: "Where is this Place" - June 19th, 2009"

The Turks say: "Not our problem."
Until some sub puts a nuclear device on the Kiz Kulesi (Maiden Tower), they're just not going to get excited.

Anyone here believe in Bible prophecy? Let me call your attention to the Book of Zechariah, the second to last book of the Old Testament, written about 500BC. According to the good book, Israel will be protected and triumphant. I believe there are also prophecies of a nuclear holocaust. What we are seeing in Syria could very well be the beginning of it too. Here are a few choice parts I found but the whole book is worth reading. It isn't very long.

Chapter 8: The Lord promises to bless Jerusalem.
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

9:1 The burden of the word of the Lord in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof
9:4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

(devoured with fire sounds like a nuke)

And later in chapter 14:

14:3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle.

and then there is this bit that blew me away:

14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Now tell me that doesn't sound like a people being destroyed by a nuke. I don't know, what do you all think? I'm pretty sure we see some action there very soon. I am not too worried (maybe 4 out of 10) as to what effect it will have here as to our security, but economically it will probably get even worse.

LE: If you have been following my blog, pray I don't further alter certain fictional bargains {insert image of Darth Vader choking Elmo here}. I watched 'Midnight Express' and have already gladly declined Turkish 'vacation' plans. Greece and rome can jam it in their bungholes until they get straight, too. I actually laughed so hard I spit my drink out when the Turkey gig was mentioned..

Turkey is definitely on upcoming places to visit. Who wouldn't want to catch a good football game in the loudest stadium on Earth? (BJK Stadium).
